The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has issued a statement addressing the recent online backlash surrounding a testimony from one of its members.
The church’s Head of Public Relations and Media, Pastor Chidi Louis, clarified that the viral video circulating online was fabricated and does not accurately represent the original testimony.
According to Pastor Louis, the controversy stemmed from a misleading video clip edited to ridicule the church.
The clip showed a woman claiming to have disarmed four armed robbers and taking possession of an “AK-27,” which was later corrected by a pastor to be an AK-47.
However, Pastor Louis explained that the woman’s story was a dream, not a real-life experience.
The church’s media department has denounced the fake video and urged the public to disregard it.
To provide clarity, the church released the full clip of the lady’s testimony on its TikTok handle, confirming that her story was shared in the context of a dream.
Pastor Louis cautioned the public to be discerning when consuming information online, stating, “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.
Bloggers often edit content to ridicule the work of God. Most of these bloggers are wicked and devilish.”
He encouraged individuals to visit the church’s platform to listen to the complete testimony and gain a better understanding of the context.
