….says Edo people cannot be intimidated ahead of Saturday election
Edo PDP chieftain and human rights advocate, Andrew Enantomhen has on Tuesday congratulated all the PDP members that got freed from “the captivity of the police brutality, oppression, intimidation and victimization by the police.”
“We shall not fall for the intimidation by the APC and the police, we will continue to bounce back, we will continue to stand by our decision to vote for PDP come Saturday, September 21, 2024. It is our future that is on the line as Edo State citizens and we will secure it with our votes for PDP against every evil force of the APC.
“We stand against every injustice. This Edo election is a collective decision from the Edo people that Asue Ighodalo is the next Governor of Edo State. We the people of Edo State must be allowed to decide our destiny. External forces hell-bent on doing the bid of APC must stay away from this Edo State election. The police must stay professional and never again be a tool in the hands of the APC. The police must stay neutral as against being instruments of intimidation.
“We urge our people to come out en masse on Saturday and vote because your vote will count. This election will be peaceful and interesting, we are one big family before political parties. We must not allow party affiliation divide us as a people. We are resolute on what we believe in and we stand by it.
“Once again, we welcome our fellow comrades back to the struggle. Struggle continues till victory is achieved on Saturday by God’s grace and by the votes of Edo people. Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!” Andrew Enantomhen further said.
