Kano Pillars have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and seasoned defender Shehu Abdullahi for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The club officially announced the signings on its X account on Saturday, October 5, 2024, revealing that an agreement in principle had been reached with the duo.
“We can confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached with Super Eagles players, captain, Ahmed Musa (MON) and Shehu Abdullahi to join up with us for the 2024/25 football season,” the statement reads.
Musa, 31, returns to Kano Pillars for the third time, having previously played for the club in 2010 before embarking on his European career and briefly rejoining in 2021.
Abdullahi, also a former Pillars player (2012), joins after a stint with Levski Sofia, which ended in 2023. Both players have been without clubs since their respective departures from Sivasspor and Levski Sofia.
The duo was spotted training with the Sai Masu Gida club on Thursday, October 3, 2024, ahead of their NPFL match against Sunshine Stars on Sunday.
