Building Collapses in Abuja, 40 People Trapped

A building collapse has occurred in Sabon Lugbe, a suburban community in Abuja, leaving approximately 40 people trapped under the rubble. The incident happened around 5 pm on Saturday, while the victims were still inside the building.

Videos circulating on social media, particularly X, show residents attempting to rescue the trapped victims from the rubble. However, it remains unclear whether emergency services are present at the scene to assist in the rescue efforts.
Residents in the area describe the scene as chaotic, with many rushing to help rescue those trapped. “It’s heartbreaking to see people trapped under the rubble,” said one eyewitness. “We’re doing our best to help rescue them.”
