Jesse Stone, a 14-year-old Florida teenager, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 91-year-old woman.
According to WESH, Stone was taken into custody at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in June and subsequently charged as an adult with sexual battery and burglary.
Stone pled guilty to the charges on November 7 and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 19, PEOPLE reports.
The alleged attack occurred on June 9, 2024, when Stone entered the woman’s home through an unlocked door. The victim awoke to find Stone punching and groping her, Marion County Sheriff’s Office stated.
Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods expressed shock at the brutality, saying, “This type of unimaginable violence is still shocking to me after all of my years in law enforcement.”
Reports reveal Stone had a prior relationship with the victim, visiting her home earlier that day. Stone admitted to watching explicit content on the victim’s iPad before the assault and confessed to the crime during an interview with Detective Caitlin Hartigan.
The investigation was led by forensic investigators who collected DNA evidence, positively identifying Stone as the suspect.
