Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC) is currently under investigation by the Nigerian Police Force for allegations of real estate fraud and money laundering.
Operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja are reportedly interrogating the pastor.
“Pastor Bolaji Idowu, also known for his impactful Next Level Prayer Conference, is in custody and being questioned by the FCID in Abuja over allegations involving real estate fraud and possible money laundering activities,” a senior police officer revealed.
Another police insider added, “As of now, he remains at the FCID headquarters, where investigations are ongoing.”
Pastor Idowu founded Harvesters International Christian Center in December 2003, and his congregation exceeds 70,000 worshippers globally, both online and onsite.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Harvesters International Christian Center regarding the arrest of their lead pastor.
One long-time church member remarked, “Pastor Bolaji has always been an inspiration to us. This situation is shocking, but we trust that the truth will prevail.”
