Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Duke, and Duchess of Sussex have opened the doors of their California home to provide refuge for friends and loved ones affected by the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles.
The LA fires continue to rage, claiming the lives of at least 5 people and forcing over 100,000 residents to flee their homes.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have offered their luxurious mansion in Montaresidence in Montecito, located approximately 140 kilometers north of the affected area, as a safe haven for those displaced by the disaster.
A source close to the couple revealed to People magazine that Harry and Meghan “have opened their home to friends and loved ones forced to evacuate”.
In addition to providing shelter, the couple is also channeling donations to their Archewell Foundation, a non-profit organization they founded in 2020, to support relief efforts. The foundation is working closely with the couple to determine the most impactful ways to support the community during this crisis.
