Alhaji Mohammed Badaru, the Minister of Defence, has provided a donation of N20 million to support the victims of the recent flooding in Jigawa state.
This contribution aims to augment the state government’s efforts in providing relief to residents affected by the flood disaster.
This information was disclosed in a statement issued by Mr. Henshaw Ogubike, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of Defence, on Sunday in Abuja.
During a condolence visit to Governor Umar Namadi, Defence Minister Alhaji Mohammed Badaru made a donation to support the flood victims in Jigawa State.
He expressed his sympathy for the loss of lives and properties resulting from the severe flooding, which also devastated farmlands across the state.
Badaru reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to assisting the state during this challenging period and noted that the donation was his personal contribution.
He praised the state government’s swift response to the disaster and their efforts in providing relief to the affected victims.
