Cocaine Smuggling Gone Wrong, NDLEA intercepts Businessman

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of Ibeanusi Solomon Nosike, a 36-year-old businessman based in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Nosike was apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos, on August 8, 2024, while attempting to board a flight to Abuja.

He was scheduled to connect to a Qatar Airways flight to Vietnam from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja later that day.

Following his arrest, Nosike was placed under observation for 12 days, during which he excreted 68 wraps of cocaine.

The NDLEA has confirmed the successful interception of this drug trafficking attempt.
