Dangote Refinery to Supply 25 Million Liters of Petrol Daily Starting September

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has announced that the Dangote Refinery will begin supplying 25 million liters of petrol daily to the Nigerian market starting in September, 2024.

The refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day and was built at a cost of $20 billion, is expected to increase its supply to 30 million liters per day by October.

According to the NMDPRA, an agreement was reached with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to supply crude oil to the refinery in local currency during a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.

The regulatory authority stated that the refinery is now ready to supply an initial 25 million liters of petrol into the domestic market this September, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s petroleum industry.
