President Bola Tinubu recently concluded a successful visit to Beijing, China, where he engaged in high-level discussions with Chinese leaders and interacted with Nigerians living in the country.
During his visit, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, and hard decisions in driving Nigeria’s development.
Addressing Nigerians in the diaspora, President Tinubu stressed that being a good citizen is crucial to national progress.
He urged them to continue representing Nigeria positively and to be ambassadors of the country in China.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity is a strength, but it requires commitment to service and discipline to achieve meaningful development.
President Tinubu highlighted China’s disciplined society as an example for Nigerians.
“I cannot tell you more, except from the embassy, that China is a very disciplined society and we have to be disciplined too. Without discipline and commitment, we cannot build a nation that is respected everywhere in the world.
We must exploit our diversity and be ready to do everything required of us within the laws of the communities that we live in and reflect a good image of our country,” he said.
He noted that China’s infrastructure, education, and economic development are a result of discipline and hard work.
He encouraged Nigerians to emulate these qualities to build a respected nation.
The President also discussed his administration’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure, trade, finance, energy, green economy, and mining.
He assured Nigerians in the diaspora that his government is committed to creating an enabling environment for investments and economic growth.
President Tinubu acknowledged that making hard decisions is not always easy, but it is necessary to move Nigeria forward.
He cited the recent fuel price adjustments as an example of the tough decisions his administration is willing to take to drive progress.
The President expressed his commitment to replicating China’s infrastructure in Nigeria, ensuring access to quality education, electricity, water supply, and good roads.
He emphasized that his leadership is focused on providing the necessary environment for businesses to flourish and for Nigerians to reach their full potential.
