Andrew Enantomhen hails the resolute efforts of Obidients for Asue Ighodalo group, says “history will be fair to them”

Youth advocate and PDP stakeholder in Edo, Andrew Enantomhen on Saturday hailed the resolute efforts of the Obidients who have taken a stand with the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo in the build up to the September 2024 Governorship election in Edo State.

“I am very well aware of the pressure the Obidient movement in Edo State has been under, concerning the forthcoming Edo State Governorship election. I am proud of them to see that they are standing tall each day in their resolve to support, campaign for and vote for Asue Ighodalo in the spirit of fairness, equity, justice, capacity, character and integrity.

“I am not also unaware of the elements who don’t know the history of Edo State politics and think they can impose on us as to which direction we should head in the election. The facts are clear, Asue Ighodalo is the next Governor of Edo State even for the sake of fairness in terms of letting the Governorship seat rotate round the State, fair enough. Edo North has done, Edo South is currently finishing 16 years now; but for Edo Central, it’s been none so far, so we decided that Edo Central turn is now, come September this year 2024, and I salute the Obidients who have let reason prevail on them enough for them to pitch their tent with the best candidate from Edo Central for this election which is Asue Ighodalo. Asue Ighodalo is the best man for the job, there is no any doubt about that. Asue Ighodalo is the best fit for the times we find ourselves now even in terms of regional politics in a highly sophisticated and politically savvy State like Edo State,” Andrew Enantomhen further said.
