However, following the departure of colonial powers, the country fell prey to governance plagued by extensive corruption, favoritism, and ethnic divisions.
Over an extended period, the misconduct of the nation’s leaders has adversely affected nearly every sector, leading to widespread unemployment among graduates, deteriorating infrastructure, escalating crime rates, and other societal ills.
The nation’s youth have borne the brunt of these challenges for some time. Recently, the prevailing sentiment has been that the youth are ideally positioned to rectify these entrenched issues. This belief fueled the ENDSARS movement, which was initiated with the goal of catalyzing the long-awaited transformation within the nation.
While the protests might not have brought about the desired change, they nonetheless stand as a poignant chapter in our nation’s complex history, igniting a desire for change among the youth.
To further this cause, the ALIGN MOVEMENT was conceived by a coalition of young men and women determined to rescue our nation from the clutches of corrupt leadership. This initiative is dedicated to effecting change through actionable strategies, which include educating voters on the importance of electing competent leaders committed to national development, implementing initiatives to ease the plight of the less fortunate, cultivating the next generation of leaders, and participating in development projects to enhance Nigeria’s welfare.

The movement seeks to collaborate with progressive minds to forge a nation that provides ample employment opportunities for its youth, boasts robust and effective infrastructure, enjoys a dynamic economy, benefits from sound leadership, and much more.
