Another scandal has erupted in Equatorial Guinea after the release of intimate footage involving the wife of Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the recently dismissed Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF). The video, which has been circulating on social media shows Mrs. Engonga with another man.
This caused another round of social media conversation and comparisons between men and feminists.
This scandal follows Engonga’s own controversy, where he was found to possess over 400 explicit videos involving various women, leading to his dismissal and arrest amid an investigation into alleged fraud.
Equatorial Guinea’s First Lady, Constancia Mangue Obiang, expressed dismay during a meeting with Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue, emphasizing the need for governmental intervention.
She stated, “This scandal not only affects individuals but challenges the dignity of Equatoguinean women and highlights urgent issues around digital privacy.”
