On Tuesday night, January 14, 2025, bandits stormed the hospital, shooting Dr. Murtala Sale Dandashire and taking victims away to an unknown destination.
Crisis and conflict journalist, Bakatsine, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, said, “Within the past three months, bandits have reportedly entered three hospitals: Kurfi General Hospital, Mai Tsani hospital in Dutsin-ma LGA, and Kankara General Hospital,” Bakatsine noted.
Dr. Dandashire, an indigene of Kankara LGA, is a celebrated medical professional who emerged as the overall best graduating medical student at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2019.
