In a recent interview on Times Radio in London, Errol Musk, the father of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, revealed that his son has expressed interest in purchasing Liverpool Football Club.
When asked about the possibility of Musk buying Liverpool, Errol Musk initially responded with caution, saying, “I can’t comment on that. They’ll raise the price.”
However, when pressed further, he conceded that his son had indeed shown interest in acquiring the club.
“Oh, yes. But that doesn’t mean he’s buying it,” Errol Musk clarified. “He would like to, yes, obviously. Anybody would want to – so would I!”
Errol Musk attributed his son’s interest in Liverpool to their family’s historical ties to the city. “His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we had relatives in Liverpool, and we were fortunate to know quite a lot of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family,” he explained. “So, we are attached to Liverpool, you know.”
Elon Musk has previously spoken fondly of his grandmother, who was born in 1923 and passed away in 2011. He described her as “an important part” of his childhood, which included spending time on Merseyside as a young child on holiday.
Elon Musk has an estimated net worth of $418 billion,
