FTC to block Microsoft-Activision deal

FTC is likely to file a lawsuit to block Microsoft’s Activision deal, the FTC commissioners are yet to vote or meet with each company’s lawyers.  This new antitrust concerns arise because they Sony feels they will be disadvantaged if Microsoft if they make popular titles such as Call of Duty exclusive to the Xbox.

Microsoft released a statement saying;

“We are prepared to address the concerns of regulators, including the FTC, and Sony to ensure the deal closes with confidence.”

“…together Activision and Xbox will benefit gamers and developers and make the industry more competitive.”

Microsoft says it has offered Sony a 10 year deal to keep the video game franchise Call of Duty on PlayStation.
