The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported alarming casualty numbers, with over 3,000 people killed and 14,000 injured since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began. The ongoing violence has also displaced about 1.2 million people, leaving countless families without homes or access to basic necessities.
Furthermore, the ministry revealed that more than 100 health professionals have lost their lives in the conflict, while numerous hospitals and healthcare centers have been damaged or destroyed.
This has significantly impaired the ability of medical teams to provide essential services, worsening the humanitarian crisis.
The escalating hostilities have disrupted healthcare services in southern Lebanon, particularly in areas reliant on Hezbollah’s support. The situation is dire, with the conflict showing no signs of ending.
The international community is calling for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people.
