Jurgen Klinsmann put out a controversial statement saying that it was part of Iranian’s culture to be unsportsmanlike. He further said on a football analysis round table;
“This is thier culture, they kind of make you loose your focus, make you loose your concentration on what is really important to you and they take you off”
The Iranian coach Carlos Queiroz called his remarks a “disgrace to football.” He has invited Jurgen to come to Iran to see the culture for himself after he quits FIFA technical study group.
Iran whose name was originally Persia was a great civilization known for thier technology and artistry. People who disliked Jurgen Klinsmann’s statement have shared around a clip of the former German player selling an over exaggerated fall in which the referee would award the opposing sides a red card.
Many say Jurgen is a hypocrite and is indeed unsportsmanlike himself.
