The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion on the Eko Bridge to facilitate emergency repairs by the Federal Ministry of Works.
The diversion, which will last for 18 weeks, is set to commence on September 16.
According to the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the repairs will be carried out in four phases, with intermittent, full, or partial closure of the bridge, depending on the work schedule.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the repairs.
For those heading to the Island from Funsho Williams Avenue, they can use the service lane at Alaka to connect Costain and access Eko Bridge.
Alternatively, they can access Costain to connect Eko Bridge to link Apongbon to their destinations.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers will be deployed to the rehabilitation areas and alternative routes to minimize travel delays and inconveniences.
