A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 22-year-old girlfriend and their three-year-old son to death before taking his own life in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
This incident occurred in the Danganya area of Umgababa on Thursday night, December 19, 2024.
According to Provincial Police Spokesperson Robert Netshiunda, the bodies of the woman and child were discovered on Friday morning, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. The suspect’s body was found hanging from the roof inside the house, with their identity documents placed on top of the bed.
Netshiunda stated, “The bodies were recovered on Friday morning with the incident suspected to have happened late on Thursday night or in the early hours of Friday.”
The Umkomaas SA Police Service (SAPS) is investigating two counts of murder and an inquest.
