Former presidential aide and popular media influencer, Reno Omokri has urged Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva to ignore those questioning her for supporting APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Joke Silva and another Nollywood actress, Folake Daramola had been seen on Monday while they joined the APC’s women rally in support of Bola Tinubu in Lagos and it had stirred reactions from many social media users online.
Prior to the women’s rally in Lagos, a post had circulated online listing both actresses as a member of the women’s wing of Tinubu’s presidential campaign council.
Joke Silva was given the assignment of leading the council’s committee for the creative and entertainment industries.
Also, she shared a video of the Lagos First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and other people dancing and brandishing brooms, the party’s symbol, on her Instagram page while the walk was still going on.
In an unusual turn of event following the backlashes against Joke Silva’s open support for Tinubu, Reno Omokri has urged her to not pay attention to those ‘trolling her’ stating that she has a right to choose.
“We love you @JokeSilva. Never mind these people. Those that commend you are more than those that condemn you. You have a right to support Tinubu, and though I support Atiku, I can still say that you and Olu Jacobs are a credit to Nigeria. Ignore them and bloom! #TableShaker”
