Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, is currently detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State. Bobrisky spent Monday night in a cell at the police facility.
According to a reliable source, Bobrisky’s case is awaiting further directives.
The Nigeria Immigration Service arrested him at the Seme border while attempting to leave the country.
The source revealed, “Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at Seme Border and brought him for safekeeping.”
FCID Lagos spokesperson, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed Bobrisky’s detention, stating, “He is detained at FCID Alagbon. He is with us, and we are to get a remand to keep him in custody today.”
Nigeria Immigration Service spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, described Bobrisky as a person of interest due to recent public concerns. Udo explained,
“In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”
The Nigeria Immigration Service assured the public of its commitment to professionally securing the country’s borders.
