Osun State Prioritizes Workers’ Welfare, Reduces Work Days

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has made two significant announcements to support public servants in the state. Firstly, he has approved a reduction in the number of working days per week to alleviate transportation costs for public servants.
The new working days allow public servants on Grade Levels 01-10 to work three days a week and public servants on Grade Levels 12-17 to work four days a week
However, those in essential roles, such as medical personnel, security officers, and accounting officers, are excluded from this arrangement.
Additionally, Governor Adeleke has extended palliative payments to public servants for the next two months, pending the implementation of the new minimum wage. This decision aligns with his commitment to workers’ well-being and responds to the current economic situation in Nigeria.
This move is consistent with Governor Adeleke’s previous actions to support public servants, including approving wage awards and palliatives.
