A young man tragically passed away while traveling on a commercial bus in Auchi, Edo State.
The bus, which originated from Lokoja, Kogi State, had just reached its destination when the man was discovered lifeless.
The unsettling news was shared by Comr. Sadiq Lanre Ishaq in a Facebook post on the evening of Monday, November 18, 2024. According to Ishaq, the deceased had no identification or documents that could help trace his family or relatives.
The post read,
“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
A passenger was found dead upon arrival at his destination. No information was found on him to trace his relations,” Ishaq wrote.
He further appealed to the public for assistance, sharing the details of the tragic situation and urging people to disseminate the information widely in hopes of locating the deceased’s family.
“You can help by sharing this picture so that his family can be aware and get more of him. He left Lokoja to Benin. Presently the dead body was deposited at General Hospital, Auchi. For enquiry, contact 08143080567. What a life,” the post continued.
The unidentified man’s body has been placed in the mortuary at the General Hospital in Auchi, awaiting identification. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, prompting questions about his health during the journey and whether he exhibited any signs of distress before his passing.
