Pitch invader says he won’t face any legal action

The pitch invader who invaded the match played between Portugal and Uruguay match who was taken off the pitch which he jumped and ran onto the pitch holding a rainbow flag has been reported to his embassy, the man who is now identified as Mr. Mario Ferri has said there are no legal actions taken against him.

Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy for Qatar 2022 put out a statement about the World Cup pitch invasion yesterday;

“Following the pitch invasion that took place during last night’s Portugal v Uruguay match, we can confirm that the individual involved was released shortly after being removed from the pitch. His embassy has been informed.”
