ALIGN Movement, a good governance advocate group on Wednesday stormed Edo State to speak to the people on their expectations regarding the forthcoming Edo State Governorship election and to sensitise them on the need for continued good governance of Edo State.
“We spoke with the people of Edo State. We told them our values as a group, that we represent character, competence, capacity, equity, fairness and justice; and that we identify these values in rarity in leaders and we align with those leaders in a bid to bring good governance to the people of Nigeria.
“The people of Edo State shall vote for a man that has character, capacity and competence. Having interacted with the voters, we can assure of that, on behalf of the people of Edo State.
“In Edo State, we have been around for a while, with our billboards also very much strategically positioned around the State. The people of Edo State are very much aligned. They have said that their votes are for the candidate with character, competence and capacity. They said their votes shall be in line with the need to promote character not bad character, competence not incompetence, capacity not somebody that will come to Government and be confused on where to start governance from.
Furthermore, the group said the people of Edo State have vowed to uphold equity, fairness and justice as they cast their votes in September for who they want as the next Governor of Edo State.
