According to the State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Ngurojecase, the case was initially reported by the deceased officer’s son, Danlami Ibrahim Maizabuwa, who resides in Gombe State.

During interrogation, one of the suspects, Kefas, provided his version of the events leading to the officer’s death.

“My friend arrived and began destroying properties in my house, including pots of soup and water. He also assaulted people. The commotion led women and children to raise an alarm, attracting local thugs who intervened,” Kefas confessed. “The thugs beat him with sticks until he died.
