“Lagos Police Release Detained #EndSARS Protesters”

Marking the fourth anniversary of the #EndSARS movement, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olanrewaju Ishola, has ordered the release of all individuals detained in connection with the protests held at Lekki-Tollgate on Sunday.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, announced this directive through his social media platform, although he didn’t specify the number of detainees.
According to Hundeyin, “All protesters in our custody have been released. CP Olanrewaju Ishola was on the ground at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), to personally see to that.” 
The #EndSARS movement, which began on October 20, 2020, aimed to end the Special Anti-Robbery Squad’s (SARS) unprofessional activities and brutality against Nigerian Youth.
The #EndSARS movement unfortunately resulted in the loss of many Nigerian youths.
