Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari Drops Assault and Defamation Lawsuit

Grace J Jabbari, ex-girlfriend of American actor Jonathan Majors has officially withdrawn her federal lawsuit against the Hollywood star. The lawsuit, which accused Majors of assault and defamation, had further complicated the actor’s career following his earlier legal troubles.

Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in Creed III and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was convicted in December 2023 of two misdemeanor assault charges. The charges stemmed from an incident involving Jabbari, which allegedly took place in the back seat of an SUV. As part of his sentencing, Majors was ordered to attend domestic violence counseling.

The conviction severely affected Majors’ career. Following the verdict, Marvel Studios severed ties with him, leading to the cancellation of his anticipated role as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Instead, Marvel shifted focus to Avengers: Doomsday, with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Doctor Doom in a reimagined storyline.

In March 2024, Jabbari filed a defamation lawsuit against Majors, asserting that the actor’s public statements denying the assault, including an interview on Good Morning America, damaged her reputation. During the interview, Majors adamantly maintained that he had “never laid his hands on a woman,” a statement Jabbari’s legal team claimed was defamatory in light of his conviction.

Attorneys for both parties filed a joint notice with the court, confirming that “all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice.”

This means that the case cannot be reopened.

Neither Jabbari nor Majors has commented publicly on the dismissal.

Majors has consistently denied the allegations, maintaining his innocence.

“I am focused on moving forward and continuing to contribute meaningful work to this industry,” Majors stated in a past interview.
