Troops of Sector 7, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), have successfully apprehended a notorious gunrunner, Timothy Yusuf, 62, and his son, Timothy Obadiah, in Kaduna State. The operation, which took place on Sunday, January 20, 2025, was carried out following credible intelligence about the suspects’ activities.
According to intelligence sources, the suspects were caught at Fadiya Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area. During the operation, troops recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition, including 11 fabricated rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and 60 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.
“The suspects and the recovered arms and ammunition are currently in custody for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to track and arrest other members of the gunrunning syndicate,” the intelligence source revealed.
