Edo State youth advocate and PDP chieftain, Andrew Enantomhen on Friday, April 26, 2024 called on all parties in the Edo State to focus on their campaigns on issues that will impact on the good of Edo State.
He made this call as INEC officially declared open the campaign for Edo State forthcoming Governorship election slated for September this year.
“As we all know, the only candidate in this forthcoming election is Asue Ighodalo of PDP. We don’t know if the others are still in this race or not. Everywhere across Edo State, from the grassroots to the city centre, is ‘Asue Ighodalo’.
“So we are very confident that Asue Ighodalo will emerge victorious in September,” Andrew Enantomhen said.
“When it comes to what to expect in this campaign from Asue Ighodalo, expect nothing less than a campaign that is strictly issue-based. Expect nothing less than a campaign that will be focused strictly not on personality jabs but on the critical issues that can impact on the welfare of the citizens of Edo State.
“I also expect decency. PDP is a party of decent people. I urge the other parties and their candidates to let their campaigns be less on personal jabs and more issue-based. Edo State is at the cross-roads, there is a need to consolidate on the gains of Governor Godwin Obaseki. We can’t afford to go back to where we were, we must move Edo State forward and Asue Ighodalo is the man to get the job done,” Andrew Enantomhen further said.
