The Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has reportedly flown out of the country to France to attend to his health issues.
It was gathered that Atiku left the shore of the country to France shortly after his Kaduna rally on Monday to keep a medical appointment.
The PDP’s presidential candidate had met at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday where Tinubu asked him where he was headed.
He had said he just arrived from Kaduna. It was gathered that Atiku was on his way out of the country at that time.
A top source in the Atiku Campaign Organisation was quoted by Western Post as saying that Atiku travelled out of the country on Monday night to France.
The source said his doctors were waiting for him, saying he had to go immediately after the rally in Kaduna because of the urgent need to attend to his health.
The online portal quoted the source as saying that Atiku had health challenge he is managing and that he needed to be in good shape as the party goes deeper into the campaign season.
The source said his handlers felt that he should attend to pending and routine medical issues as the campaign season got more demanding and take further toll on him.
