At the Gewis Stdium in Bergamo this Sunday, Atalanta beat Sassuolo on Saturday with a 2-1 victory. Nigerian international Ademola Lookman contributed by scoring a goal in the game which came with his usual style of celebration in which he indicates an eyeglass frame with his fingers over his eyes by making space for his eyes to still be shown.
This won’t be Lookman’s first goal in Serie A this season as he had previously scored in previous games with Fiorentina and Udinese. Lookman had been warned with a yellow card when he performed his celebration style by doing his usual fingers over the eye facing referee Daniele Doveri during his team’s match against Udinese.
This time, after scoring a goal in the match against Atalanta he performed his usual celebration style but referee Matteo Marcenaro did not show the Nigerian forward any card. Lookman was glad not to recieve any card from the referee by taking to his Twitter account by tweeting;
“Luckily no yellow card this time”.
