Suspected kidnappers have allegedly murdered a female banker, identified as Ifeoma, after collecting a ransom payment in Anambra State, Nigeria.
According to reports, Ifeoma was abducted in Onitsha, Anambra State, and her kidnappers subsequently demanded a ransom payment from her family.
The family complied with the demands, but the kidnappers executed Ifeoma and discarded her body along the Nnobi/Alor road, near Ideani junction.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishi confirmed the incident on Facebook, expressing his deep-seated frustration and anguish over the senseless killing. “Lives are being taken daily, and it’s sad that nothing is being done to end all these killings. WHO IS NEXT? If we keep folding our hands and do nothing, it may get to you,” Gwamnishi lamented.
