The CEO of Airbnb Brian Chesky has said that there has been no laying off of any Airbnb staff, he said they lost 85 percent of thier business and 25 percent of thier workforce which had taught him a crucial lesson to prepare him for times like that in the future.
The Tech landscape has had a shake up for the last two months and few are considering cutting their workforce even after the more than 5000 cuts in America, this is the opposite of Airbnb’s strategy as the CEO said they have remained lean and disciplined with 6000 employees currently working for the company.
Brian blamed the other tech companies for thier massive layoffs since they were the cause of it by hiring 20 percent more than their slow growth unlike Airbnb which planned to hire only 7 percent more people than the year before.
