Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, has shed light on why the initial sample of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) from his refinery appears clearer than the petrol currently in circulation.
During a broadcast at his refinery in Lagos State, Dangote explained that the clearer petrol is more environmentally friendly and can help reduce health issues associated with polluted petroleum products.
He noted that this new petrol will also protect engines from damage caused by unclear petrol typically found in the market.
Dangote showcased the sample, saying, “This is the real deal. You see it as a different color, but this is the genuine product.”
He also highlighted the unique features of the diesel produced by his refinery, stating, “This is called Euro-5 diesel.
It contains less than 10 parts per million (PPM) of sulphur, which will help vehicles, engines, and generators last longer.”
He emphasized the benefits of his refinery’s products, saying, “The health of the people and the environment will not be compromised. This is the real deal.”
