Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has sadly passed away after a prolonged battle with illness.
His health struggles began last year when a section of the state’s High Court complex collapsed on him while he was in his office, leaving him severely injured.
Since his discharge from the hospital, Adeyeye had been struggling to regain his health, and unfortunately, he couldn’t overcome his condition.
The news of his demise has sent shockwaves throughout the Ekiti State legal community and beyond.
The Association of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) in Ekiti has extended heartfelt condolences to Adeyeye’s family.
In a statement, FIDA Ekiti said, “With deep sorrow in our hearts and in total submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti consoles with the family of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye on his call to glory. May he find rest with his maker. I pray that God grants the family, the Judiciary, and the people of Ekiti State the grace to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu great one.”
