Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag was recently at a sit down interview by Sky Sports and was asked about the departure of Ronaldo as the transfer window comes up and how is he managing the situation.
Erik replies;
“He is gone and it’s the past and we are looking forward, we are looking to the future.”
What does success look like this season, what does it look like for you going forward?
“First, we have to get the team in a position that we can win something, so that is our first focus point. In December or January no team wins a trophy, so we have to get to a right position so in April and that is what we have to work for.”
“We didn’t always have the players available and when they were available, they were not always capable to be in the right fitness level to compete and so this is a important objective to fill that gap and to close gap and that we are better after the winter in the restart especially in the top 4.”
