Governor Godwin Obaseki has no doubt taken Edo State to greater heights in the past seven years of his being in charge of the State.
He has turned around for good the healthcare, education, transportation status of the State. These are just a few instances of his giant strides in the State.
Every aspect of governance in Edo State is receiving premium attention from Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Governor Obaseki has usually maintained that healthcare is about people and hence he has rebuilt and re-accredited the Edo State School of Nursing and currently it is the best School of Nursing in Nigeria.
Governor Obaseki is also rebuilding the Edo State School of Medical Health Technology which will help train the human capacity required in the basic healthcare system in Edo State.
In terms of infrastructure, Governor Obaseki has ensured that there is a master-plan and frame-work to guide future Governments as to what needs to be done in the State and in what areas, to further the cause of good governance in the State for generations to come.
Governor Obaseki has also been a great promoter of technology. He is already taking Edo State into the future where technology holds sway in day-to-day governance. He has usually ensured the introduction and critical use of more technology in designing of infrastructures in Edo State.
Under Governor Obaseki, the Government of Edo State has maintained an open-door policy and the Government has been very close to the people to learn of their plights and to go to work immediately towards alleviation the plight of the people. To this extent, the people of Edo State constantly witness massive rehabilitation works ongoing in especially the road network in the State for instance, the failed portion of Sapele Road, by Limit Junction in Benin City is receiving the needed attention by the Edo State Government and massive rehabilitation work is ongoing on that road, courtesy of Governor Obaseki.
Some months ago, Governor Obaseki signed an MOU with prime producers in the country, like Rock TV, Africa Magic and many more that their producers should come to Edo State to shoot their movies. As of last count, over 50 films have been made in Edo State courtesy of this MOU initiated by Governor Obaseki to improve the cultural, entertainment and tourism sector of Edo State.
These and many more are proofs that indeed Governor Godwin Obaseki is turning the fortunes of Edo State around for good and that he is finishing very well and very strong.
