Adedeji Adeleke, the father of renowned singer Davido, has revealed his contributions to Nigeria’s electricity supply.
Speaking at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s General Conference Annual Council 2024 on October 15th, Adeleke revealed his stake in the country’s power generation.
“I’m in the electricity business, I own power plants,” Adeleke proudly stated.
“I generate about 15 percent of Nigeria’s electricity. I have Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1250MW power plant.”
Recall that earlier this year, Davido appeared on the American podcast ‘Business Untitled’ and spoke about his family’s ownership of four power plants, which substantially contribute to Nigeria’s energy needs.
