Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, Minister for Steel Development on Tuesday justified sack of some of his aides (names with-held) over allegations that they did worked against the APC in the recently concluded Kogi State Governorship election.
In a statement by his Special Assistant on Political Matters, Hon. Solomon Itopa; the Minister emphasized the non-negotiable essence of loyalty.
“The sack was necessary in a bid to set a clear precedence that Hon. Minister will not accept any form of insubordination.
“Hon. Minister frowns clearly at disloyalty. Loyalty is either 100% or none. He wishes the sacked aides the very best in their future endeavours,” the statement from the Minister’s Office read.
The Minister further used the opportunity to re-avow his loyalty to the APC and to the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, in the politics of Kogi State as he today paid a post-election mortem visit to Governor Yahaya Bello to re-congratulate him on the victory of Alhaji Usman Ododo, the candidate of the APC in the recently concluded Kogi State Governorship election.
