The Blockbuster “terminator” and Streaming giant Netflix is cranking down on putting an end to password sharing among it’s users this year.
Netflix reports that they lose about $ 1 Billion per year because of it, The streaming giant had investors spooked when it’s stock dropped mid-quarter of 2022 but rose back up before the end of the year adding a lot of subscribers too. Investors might not still be satisfied with those brief successes as Netflix will try and do what it takes to make their investors and customers happy. Netflix claims that more than 100 Million non-paying households are accessing the service, although it isn’t clear what demographic this data is from.
Netflix started testing new features in some selected countries like allowing users add another user for a small fee, they also experimented with adding a basic plan with ads that cost $6.99 per month.
Netflix’s CEO Reed Hastings had earlier told investors that this adjustment will certainly not make customers happy.
