Nigeria Police Force Arrests Investigative Journalist “PIDOM”

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of prominent investigative journalist, Bristol Isaac Tamunobiefiri, also known as PIDOM.

According to a statement by the force’s PRO, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, PIDOM was apprehended on August 5th 2024 for alleged involvement in document leaks and subversive activities that compromise government operations.

The arrest was carried out by officials from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) as part of a well-coordinated effort to address the serious offenses committed.

The suspect, Bristol Isaac Tamunobiefiri (aka PIDOM), faces multiple allegations, including unlawful possession, unauthorized disclosure of classified documents, cyber-related offenses, and other related charges.

“We will conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations, ensuring that due diligence is observed.

“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to upholding the law and ensuring that justice is served,” a spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force said.
