President Bola Tinubu has arrived back in Nigeria after a three-day official trip to France.
His plane, an Airbus A330, landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 2:25 am on Friday.
The President had initially planned a longer trip but cut it short to swear in the new Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, at the State House Council Chambers.
had departed Abuja for France on Monday for a brief work stay, the duration and purpose of which were not disclosed.
However, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, had confirmed that the President would return to Nigeria after his brief stay in France.
In a statement, Ngelale also revealed that Tinubu would swear in Justice Kekere-Ekun as the successor to outgoing Chief Justice, Justice OluKayode Ariwoola, on August 23, 2024.
Justice Kekere-Ekun has succeeded Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who retired on Thursday.
