Mykhaylo Mudryk who was signed to Chelsea recently for £88.5M hasn’t gone without notice as he was paraded at the front of the fans at half time when they played against Crystal Palace. Shakthtar Donetsk’s President Rinat Akhmetov has promised that out of the £88.5M that they got from Chelsea from the sale of Mudryk, He has promised to give £20M to the Ukraine war effort.
He put out a statement saying.
“I am allocating £20M today to help our soldiers, defenders, and their families. The money will be used to cover different needs – from providing medical and prosthetic treatment and psychological support to meeting specific requests.”
“Their acts of bravery are unparalleled in the modern history. It is them, their sacrifice and courage that helped contain the enemy in the first months of the war and let all of us feel the inevitability of the Victory of Ukraine now.”
