The Israeli military has issued a stern warning to residents of south Lebanon, urging them not to return to their homes due to ongoing clashes with Hezbollah militants in the area.
Military spokesman Avichay Adraee cautioned that Israeli forces are targeting Hezbollah posts in and around villages, posing a significant risk to civilians.
“For your own protection, do not return to your homes until further notice,” Adraee emphasized. “Do not go south; anyone who goes south may put his life at risk.”
This warning comes as Israel continues to battle Palestinian militants in Gaza, with an intense ground and air assault in northern Gaza, particularly around the city of Jabalia.
In a separate statement, Adraee advised health workers and medical teams in southern Lebanon to avoid using ambulances, alleging that Hezbollah fighters are utilizing them.
“We call on medical teams to avoid contact with Hezbollah members and not to cooperate with them,” he said, adding that the Israeli military will take necessary actions against any vehicle transporting armed individuals, regardless of its type.
Meanwhile, residents around Sheikh Radwan, south of Jabalia refugee camp, have been ordered to evacuate the area, which is deemed a dangerous combat zone. Adraee instructed residents to move to the humanitarian zone in the southern part of the strip.
The escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in significant displacement and casualties in recent days.
