Since taking charge of Edo State in 2016, Governor Godwin Obaseki set his eyes on the prize and not for a moment has he been overtaken by any distraction.
Governor Obaseki transformed the various sectors of Edo State, from transport to sports to education to health, to mention but a few.
Governor Obaseki has also in the past 7 years increased the internally generated revenue of Edo State far beyond what his predecessors did. Governor Obaseki is giving Edo State a new facelift in every passing day. He is adjudged one of the most hardworking Governors in the history of Nigeria.
Governor Obaseki has attracted alot of investments to Edo State in Billions of US Dollar. He has also repositioned the State in terms of human capital development. Many youths in Edo State are now better engaged for better transformation of their own immediate environment and the society at large.
Under Governor Obaseki, there has been lasting peace in Edo State as Governor Obaseki invested heavily in the local and police security of the State.
In a bid to bring great minds to Edo State from time to time for them to better appreciate the untapped glory in Edo State, Governor Obaseki organises programmes such as the recently concluded Alaghodaro summit.
Alaghodaro summit brings together leaders of thought and investors and captains of industry from all over the world to show them around Edo State and to get them to invest in the untapped resources in Edo State and to share thoughts on the ever-evolving concept of leadership.
There is no doubt that Governor Obaseki is finishing strong as he has been a great Governor who has stayed focused on the job right from his first day in office as Governor of Edo State.
