Court trial isn’t over for Benjamin Mendy yet

After 17 months of trial and the jury deliberating for 13 days and more than 70 hours Benjamin Mendy of Manchester City has been found not guilty of seven of nine charges but still faces retrial on two more charges.

Benjamin who was charged with sexual offences on August of 2021 pleaded not guilty to the charges of eight rapes will be back in court to face one count of rape and one count of attempted rape.

The next trial is set for June 26th, 2023 which in particular is the alleged rape of a 24 year old woman at Benjamin Mendy’s house in October 2020 and a 29 year old woman at his house in October 2018, the trials is scheduled to last for 3 weeks.
