A researcher, political commentator cum media and communications strategist, Amb. Elvis Ehimotor on Wednesday commented on the forthcoming Edo State PDP Gubernatorial primary election.
Amb. Elvis, an indigene of Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State and an Alumnus of the great University of Benin, declared that Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the frontline gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is his candidate. He said Asue Ighodalo is his candidate because apart from being from his senatorial district, he is coming from the private sector and he is an independent-minded candidate with no affiliation to any of the factions of the PDP in the State.
“Dr. Asue Ighodalo is my candidate because his antecedents and his conducts so far are amazing and worthy enough for him to be the next Governor of Edo State. His vision for Edo extends beyond politics; it’s about empowering every Edolite. His commitment to an all-inclusive Government will ensure that the youths and women are active participants, especially in the dynamic fields of technology and creativity.
“With all due respect to the other candidates, Dr. Asue Ighodalo stands out in terms of vision and mission for Edo State. In terms of affiliation, Dr. Asue Ighodalo has proven to be an independent thinker, independent thinker in the sense that he is not under any form of influence from anybody. His only motivation is the passion to serve our dear Edo State.
“In terms of plans for Edo State, I believe that Dr. Asue Ighodalo’s vision for Edo transcends mere rhetoric – it is a blueprint for tangible transformation with his strategic approach and unwavering commitment to service, he is determined to lead Edo into a new era of prosperity and growth. He will make a good Governor for my State when voted in,” Elvis further said.
Further speaking, Elvis opined that regarding the forthcoming primary election, the odds are in favour of Dr. Asue Ighodalo.
‘He is the candidate to beat in the forthcoming Edo State PDP Governorship primary election. His integrity, compassion, and visionary leadership makes him the best man to lead Edo into a brighter future,” Elvis said.
